Kamagi is an anthro praying mantis. He is kind of shy from the get go, but warms up as you get to know him. Being cold-blooded because he is an insect, he is less active in cold weather, and his metabolism slows which leads to basically eating a ton and gaining it all in blubber. He loves honey, as all mantises do, and will eat any of it put in front of him, for better or for worse.
The translucent wings are more for show than actual flight, but they do function as a fall dampener of sorts, reflexively flashing them out when falling from a distance. Yes, that includes tripping on something with those tapering legs, leading to little triangular 'footprints'. His wings are completely covered unless he moves them; they don't jostle out of place.
He is slightly above 5'1", average height for a male mantid (the females are quite bigger.), and not regular bug size xD
He has a tongue coming to a point, and two pointy bits on the sides of his mouth and, as seen, his antennae react to emotion, i.e. pointed straight up = intrigued. Basically what ears do.
If thrown in a fight, he would take the ninja-esque approach, being quick on those light 'feet' of his, and lie in shadows, then strike quickly like a mantis does do. Although he doesn't like conflict in general, he knows how to solve one. His weapon of choice is a short katana. It was made back in the ancient times of Japan, through his ancestors. Within the handle is a piece of his great battler ancestor's carapace (the bug exoskeleton) and "カマギの刀” is inscribed on the blade, which is simply 'Katana of Kamagi", although it has been like that ever since it was made.
The X on the side angle is the arm joint, I left the arm out because it wasn't clear where his light-green belly/abdomen began and where it ended. Now it's clear :D
Okay, so this guy is officially me, my fursona! (although lack of fur is evident).

I just wanted it to be more of a concealable weapon I guess, hence a shorter blade, but yeah, it could be one, now that you mention it.
It's funny you mention that, because my katana interest first came from a few videos on youtube where this guy wanted a katana throughout this whole game he was playing, and a Wakizashi was the first one he got, and was so excited for it. Takes me back...
