To those not familiar, a couple of years ago, I wrote a series of short stories that became a book entitled, "Mutant Life:Cometh Uber". It was accepted for publication, but I yanked it back at the last moment as they were going to cut into my baby, and well, that didn't work for me.

With the HD of my old computer gone, dead and buried, all I have left are a few hardcopies of the old series. I was also lamenting the lost of my Altered Earth series and a few other miscellaneous things I wrote.

It then occoured to me, as I was doodling furry things that perhaps I could re-tell the stories of those characters as furs. This panel, and one other that I should be able to ink tonight are the result. The dialogue is faint, but begins with Crone (foxmorph on the right), to Charlie (bearmorph on the left).

At this point, Charlie has just turned 18, Crone's taught him about as much as she can about being a hero, and he's going to get a test by fighting a fellow mutant, Denise. Charlie's incredibly strong (he has a tendancy to curl diesel engine blocks) and has a very potent regenerative capacity. Crone is over 900 years old, and is fairly godlike. The dialogue as follows:

Crone:Pay Attention, Boy.
Charlie:Yes ma'am
Crone:No Armour, No Helmet. Your skills and mutations only.
Charlie:Yes ma'am. Who's in the box?
Crone:Denise
Charlie:Damn
Crone:Why do you think I told you to loose the armour?
Charlie:Better loose the Boots 'n Belt, too.
Crone:Smart Boy. Take her down, don't kill her.
Charlie:Yes ma'am
Crone:Questions?
Charlie:Any means possible?
Crone:Yes
Charlie:I won't fight fair.
Crone:Nor shall she?
Charlie:Very well then.

For the record, Denise is a Magno/Electrokinetic. Cross Magneto with Electro and lots of dreadlocks and you get Denise.
