I think it's not good for you. I mean, it eats out the fun of creating, and what's there then? I've got one request I've been sketching for a couple of weeks now, I mean I have like 20 sketches that I work on simultaneously. I do stuff on them when I feel like it. And when I don't feel like drawing, I just don't do it. If someone were to ask me to draw something, I just say maybe and write it up on the sketch ideas list. It'd be a different story if someone paid, but forcing yourself to do requests? I think it's not nice.
I don't know about drawing, but it definitely doesn't work for programming. After about the 5 hour mark my error rate goes way up and I start missing obvious problems. There have been a number of times where I've been pushing to get some hunk of code out the door, left for the day with it kind of working and come back the next day to fix all the problems with it in the first half hour.
Even a bit of food and a 20 minute power nap can recharge you a bit if you're really run down. Some folks swear that if you have some coffee then immediately go for a nap, the caffeine will kick in about 20 minutes later and you'll be ready to go again.
'Course if you just don't feel like drawing, you don't feel like drawing. That doesn't seem like something you can force. If you can't get in the groove in a few minutes, you're probably not going to.

Its good to draw frequently, but not constantly. You don't want to sit around for weeks not drawing anything, so in those cases its good to force yourself to sit down and draw.
I try to make sure I'm drawing or doing something artsy at least half and hour each day. But if you've already been drawing a couple hours or something that day? Don't force it if you feel up to it. Give yourself a break, give your hand a rest, and come back to it the next day.
