Try to select the entirety of the canvas and then throw it into whatev program you want and wala, insta fix. :P

I think thats how you'd have to do it on oC. Though I knew most programs should have a selection tool.

Ctrl + C
Usually works for most programs, like with MSPaint to OC, so that you can have color ref's~

Doesn't work for all programs though...
