One of my original characters, this is Aleph. He's a light-beast, and a minion of the Limitless Light. The shadow-beasts and his kind occasionally clash, even though they are supposed to be working together against a larger threat. He rides a futuristic black motorcycle, fights with a bazooka that fires globes of solidified light and his face almost never deviates from this expression. He is rather austere, and probably needs a nice girlfriend to loosen up.

It's one of my quirks, but I have a liking for characters that:
1. Serve a greater cause.
2. Have a focused unifying theme to their role/ability: light, shadow, wind, water, etc...
Aleph sounds like he fits the bill. Based on his rather celestial appearance, would I be right in guessing that the light-beasts have an easier time of "public relations" when it comes to dealing with average folk?

Yes. XD He shoots light, but not lasers, if that makes sense. His weapon, although it looks future-tech, it is actually supernatural, not technological. Creatures like the shadow-beasts and light-beasts can be thought of as being like elementals, or very small demi-gods in mortal bodies.
Aleph and Yodhe are a particular kind of light-beast called a gali. Galis look mostly human, but not all light-beasts do. Similarly, there are kinds of shadow-beasts which look almost human too.
As far as public relations... Hm, well, Aleph in particular is very austere. He is rather zealous and not easy to like or get along with. XD;
