This makes me nostalgic for EVE Online. Ahhh, the days of mining the ol' Veldspar and Omber, commanding a fleet of asteroid eating industrial monsters. And Jita PVP. Always with the Jita PVP.

Indeed. I flew under three major banners (ATLAS on a technicality, then later the North and finally the DRF) and the one that really stuck with me was my time in Primary. wherein I had some of the greatest laughs, greatest FC's, and some of the fondest memories. I wish I could go back to Scalding Pass, but it's sadly under RA control and I have no ties to get into that (My time with the DRF was more under SOLAR's wing, until Nulli decided to nix them and my alliance started to move to Fountain to assist the HBC). Then again, Fidelas Constelas has my old DRF-time corp, so I could always weasel my way back there if I ever wished.

...The issue with EVE for me is the time for it, and the lack thereof on the important times. Since I work in foodservice, I'm busy when everybody else isn't; So the big ops on the weekends I miss out on because of work, or I'd have to work nights when all the fleets/roams are and I'd have to get in with the Euro crowd if I want any activity other than ratting or mining.

I was apart of a small, but fantastically organized corp who had set up a POS in a wormhole system. I started out with them when I was still just flying a tiny Navitas for a miner, and at our height I was flying a full Hulk fitted with T2 Strip Miners and Arkanor Crystals (This was before the update that changed Hulks from MOAMs (Mother of all Miners) to a fleet based stripper that didn't function well in solo mining). I made hella bank with those guys and we all had a lot of fun. Unfortunately we made the mistake of joining an alliance, getting pulled into a war, having our POS blown to shit and then having the alliance leaders telling us to fuck off when we demanded compensation, which led to us taking out massive bounties on them and them on us which prompted us to sell info on their fleets and locations to the people they were at war with....wow EVE really does run off of player politics. That was the end of my "Golden era", and since then I mostly few solo, drifted from corp to corp, mined with friends I knew, etc.

I'm currently unemployed but even if I had the funds to start playing again I doubt I'd have enough time to anyway. Inbetween looking for work, keeping fit, working on art/commissions and trying to maintaina social life I really wouldn't have time unless I decided to stop sleeping.
