Forgive the lack of beauty, it looked so good I just wanted to dig in right after I cooked it >.<
Read the recipe before you buy anything. You might want to change a step or add some other ingredients.
Pasta:
Boil water and salt it, add in the pasta and stir occasionally.
In a skillet, heat ground beef and cook until half pink, half brown.
Add Cinnamon, Paprika, Cayenne, Bay Leaf, Salt and Pepper to taste.
Deglaze the pan with some cooking wine and about 2 cups water
Set heat to low and set aside.
French Onion Soup
Cut 1 yellow onion into about 1 inch chunks.
Heat 1 tbsp of butter in a small pot and add onion.
Stir CONSTANTLY for about 30 minutes or until onion is a deep brown (never said this recipe is nice :3)
Add the water (just the water) from the beef made in the pasta to the onion, set to low heat, and stir for 20 minutes.
Salt to taste.
Make toast and cube it, set it on top of the soup.
Add a mild cheese, grated, to the top. Optional: broil it to set a cripsy cheese top. I like to microwave it because it's faster and it melts it a little so I can stir it into the soup.
Put together your pasta, meat, and red sauce.
Great recipe for a meal; no need to buy beef stock because you made one yourself!
