Easier than vinyl AFAIK since you just need simple glue. Latex inflatable suits are definitely a thing (it's what Scaleworx does when I'm not the one ordering :P) but this isn't one. Modifying for that certainly isn't necessary, the supplier could build it as a suit if I wanted.
