A grass spider. It makes a sheet web and hides in a funnel. It makes another complex three dimensional web above that, and insects hit it, and fall onto the sheet web where they get tangled and then the spider bites them, and brings them into the funnel to eat.

I caught one roughly 20mm body length and 30mm leg length in my hall yesterday and tossed it into a bush. THey are striped.

They are pretty cool, I don't handle them because they can bite, but I don't kill them either. Unless it's a widow or a recluse, that is. I have enough other spiders around that compete directly with them so I never see either.

You should definitely Google Image Search whatever I have set for my species. I change it semi regularly.
