Ricky and Sparks make quite the pair of New Year's chus. I love the idea of having a "Zappy New Year". :)
This is also another wonderful example of how you can take a design and make it work for an entirely different character. I remember you doing this with Ricky and Sparks quite a bit earlier in 2014. One that stands out is the Legend of Zelda pairing. There was also the one where Sparks and Ricky had the same pose and background for having fun on a tree. Clever times.
Sparks and Ricky make the viewer think entirely different things even if the pose and background are all the same. It just goes to show how different something can be if an entirely different character is performing a given role.
This goes with how you hear stories about how certain actors turned down roles in movies. But how different would the movie have been if that actor was in it instead of the one we know? They'd be doing the same things but would the film be as loved as it is if a different actor played the role?
Always nice to start the year off with fun thoughts. Thanks, Sparks.
