I was chatting quite a bit with
akaikosh about the Dragon's Dogma Hydra and its awesome vorish abilities. I just got the official game art book for Christmas, so I decided to use it as a reference to help draw a new contribution for the beloved scaly critter!
This is what I would assume a baby hydra would look like. Big round eyes, cute little tongues, and a relatively big appetite! He decided to make some snacks out of a few squirmy rats. I will upload more as I work on this guy! Hope you guys like it so far!
PS: Thanks for making this guy well-known for fans like me,
akaikosh! This one's on me!

It's more the visual quality (Blurriness, etc) than if it has color or not. Photographed/scanned sketches should be crisp and whatnot, blurry and splotchy ones will be at risk of removal (Dunno if this applies to stuff in the Scraps folder tho)
It's cute so far though :>
Which color scheme you gonna base it off of? The awesome black "Lesser" hydra or the ugly white Archydra?

You like hydras, eh? Can't blame you - this guy is the entire reason I bought the game. (I found other reasons to play it once I started playing, but my main motivation was "giant serpent hydra whoamg :O")
I am hoping that if they make a sequel to Dragon's Dogma, the hydra gets carried over, special abilities and all!

I liked the Shadow of the Colossus mechanics in the game. By that, I mean the way you can grab onto and climb bosses to hit their weak points. It's pretty fun to be able to get on top of enemies and exploit their weaknesses! Plus, the Dark Arisen side-story actually has a pretty epic final encounter with a monster known as Daimon. The change in music for the area is pretty sweet, too!
But, yeah, that Hydra really got a lot of attention to detail in the game! In fact, the official art book for the game says that it was specifically designed to look like an enemy that could just swallow you whole. Well, they did something right! ^w^

Yeah, being able to climb on the big monsters was pretty cool, and one reason I made my character the yellow vocations. Though I do have to admit I wasn't very good at managing my party setup... I did like climbing on a hydra's head and getting it to bite its own heads off, though. It was pretty silly.
I didn't get very far in Dark Arisen. I mostly remember a reaper guy that put everybody to sleep and then oneshot them, and a worm in a chest that eats you.
