What started as an accident has now become a sort of Christmas tradition. For the last four years (that my family and I have attended) the Brea Plaza 5 Cinemas has put out their "Christmas Spider".

Throughout the year, the theatre staff decorates the place in spirit of whatever holiday is to be celebrated. Four years ago, a spider was accidentally left on display two months after Halloween. My dad pointed this out to the staff and dubbed it "The Christmas Spider". Now every year after that, Christmas Spider makes his appearance decked out with a Santa Hat, sometimes hanging on the ceiling, or lounging on a soda pop machine.
