Hate to start 2015 off with such a sour note, but this is a piece of vent art I've been wanting to do for a while.
For a long time, I've felt like there's this void in my heart that I've tried to fill with all the wrong things. Sex, money, toys, things. It's only grown since my father died, and my mother has left my life. Slowly, I've started to realize what's a 'void filler' and what's actually a healthy habit or hobby, but there's a long way to go. Getting it out in vent art is supposed to be healthy though, right?
Hopefully 2015 will be the year that the void starts to shrink.

Yeah, I dunno, when you put it that way - that you're starting to tell the good apart from the bad - it's not such a sour note, as long as you focus on the potential to grow from that realization. I don't usually comment a whole lot, but figured I'd chime in here, wish you luck, and second SavangeLycan's sentiment.
Balance is the key in everything. We're all prone to filling ourselves with the easy, most convenient things to try and close the gaps. But it has to be remembered that we're not baser creatures alone, we need the baser things, but the more elevated as well. Enjoy pleasures of the flesh, and of the mind and soul, all in moderation.
