I could go on forever about the homeless (and how very not saintly they are) but still. This is a very beautiful piece of work. I've been there myself, and while rain is beautiful, it's also fucking cold.

I have a soft spot for the homeless people in my city, but I know it's pretty different everywhere, sorry to hear the people in your direction are a bit rougher :(

I very much appreciate the compliment on the art! And yeah, it's gotten quite a bit colder since the rain. Going to finals week in a storm was an interesting experience, and not one I'm eager to repeat, haha.

It's not really my direction, just..homeless in general. A lot of homeless people choose to be that way. The general stipulation of homeless people is that they're all just down on their luck. All of them. But that's simply not the case.
I live in Cali too, mind - Ventura county, southern california. Right on the coastline, even. It's like, 35f most nights as of late, and my mother works graveyard security. Yay. :/

Ahhh, I gotcha. Dunno, can't really say I have much of a problem with it if it's a choice-- the guys I see on a regular basis are all pretty nice, and I enjoy chatting with them when I can. Either way, sucks to be out in the rain, y'know?

Yikes! Why on earth is it so cold down there, I'm further north than you and I don't think we've dropped below fifty! Did you guys have any landslide issues with the big storms recently?

It's not necessarily their choice that bothers me, it's that they all live off of government benefits or people's charity. They fool people into believing they're poor, sickly, generally good people that have just landed in a rough spot, but most of the time that's just not true. You wouldn't believe how many people in homeless shelters have iPhones, tablets, brand new Macs, Alienware laptops, etc. in their shoddy, dirty old backpacks. And it's not just fancy things, no - they honestly have been like that for decades, even, making no attempt to get a single place or even an RV. They intentionally live that way, so they don't have to work or earn a living.

I'm not certain, but no landslides in my immediate area, no. I think around LA/Ventura/Santa Barbara, all fine. It's snowing in Palmdale though. Palmdale has a year-average temperature of about 100f. It's fucking snowing there. If we had a storm here I bet it would snow too, at least at night.
