I was just doing some sketching on my own today, my first in a while, actually, and i was thinking about how much the way i draw has changed, i mean, i started about eight years ago or so with basically no idea of how anime worked, i got the basic style for my first picture off of a tiny picture of misty i had on a pokemon poster, and after that, i mostly worked from the "How to draw anime" books we had at the library at school, i bought a bunch too, but i never really used them so much after i had my basic style down.
I've never really kept the same overall style ideas for more than a year or so, i tend to change everything all of a sudden, i can pinpoint exactly where my current drawing style came along, it was when qmelon did the drawing of sakura here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1310482/ .
I dunno why, but i just loved how it looked so much, it sorta got my into wanting to add more realism and detail to my pictures, i started with the part that i used to always get the most comments on, the nose, for some reason, i'm apparently fairly good at drawing noses, which is cool, i like drawing them, and then i thought i'd work on how i draw eyes, and i guess the end result makes my entire style look more western comic-inspired, which i'm coom with, because after all, art is all about developing yourself and finding what's inside you and all that.
Anyway, i dunno why i wrote so much, i guess i was just thinking a bit, i'll try colour this later on, i really should look into grabbing photoshop so i can ink stuff well.
As always, any critique or comments are welcome, it's just a sketch, so i don't expect many, but i'd love to hear any!
