We use the standard rainbow code for this, but if you'd like something else please let me know

Thank you for being incrediable patient.
For anyone interested in pixel led fiberoptics, please ask about the option when you request a quote. :D

If you find the fiberoptics way to long for your liking you can trip them back a bit with some scisors or nail clippers. Also if you'd like the led colors to not be rainbow please let me know :D. I can change it so it's white or light blue or something! It just won't have that brilliant shifting glow effect like the rainbow does, unless I can poke at the code a bit.
Very cool. Did you use a ws2811/ws2812 5050 strand for this? Just curious, it's what I've been using mostly for my projects. Curious if anyone has had luck with four wire types, the timing and memory requirements on the ws2812s make them tough to use for some things.
By gauge do you mean thickness of the wires? I'm sorry I know nothing of electronics ^^;
Do you still do fiber optic commissions if we provide a tail? (i think I saw you do that somewhere...)
I'm just trying to plan out ideas for a character and I don't think I've seen anybody pull off a "whispy" tail effect before haha

Aye! Like it depends on how thick the fiberoptics are and sometimes the type of material makes a difference too. This would be something I'd have to play with to get the right "texture". The tail in the picture uses pretty thick wire, but I can always see if there's something a little less thick.
The kit, which included a microcontroler, pixel leds, and all those fibers ran about 150$. I think it was a little less, but that paid for all my time as well. It takes a whole lot of patience and time to cut all those fiberoptics, then secure them to the heads of the leds. The kit comes with 25 leds, but depending on your tail it may need more. The price fluctuates depending on how much or little you need. :D
