Meet Wally Wombat. one of a Set of characters I built for Thredbo Ski Resort .
They named the various levels of attainment in thier Ski school after characters. The bottom level was a Koala, the top was a rat called Extreme Rat.
Wally represented the second level. These suits were designed to take a spill at speed without damage to them or the wearer. All tails were breakaways and the head harnesses were modified to use Velcro instead of the usual snap fasteners. The current status of thses suits are unknown

Oh man, I remember these!! I was born in Cooma and grew up in Jindabyne, and my father was the manager for Skitube, so I pretty much grew up at Thredbo and learning to ski there. I remember the costumes :) I think I only attained Wombat level - I still have the badge I got!! I actually really miss Thredbo Land <3
