Here are two new (okay one of them is new, just arrived today) arrivals for the collection. Larger of the two is a baby sulcata tortoise, and the other a baby leopard tortoise. Sulcata has been dubbed Peco, and the leopard is Squirt. Both of these tortoises died of natural causes, as reptiles are fragile creatures as is...let alone juveniles. Both of these specimens were prepared by a professional taxidermist via freeze drying. They are extremely light weight and delicate, currently resting in the cabinet among many skulls to add a splash of color among the off-white.
DISCLAIMER: Yes they are real. Yes, they are dead. No, I did not kill them nor were they killed for me or for the sake of taxidermy.
As of right now, neither are for sale. If I can ever bear to part with one, you'll need to keep an eye on the etsy store as that's where it'd go.

So jelly.
I'm hoping to find someone local to my area that freeze dries reptiles, I would love to have my beloved pets live on eternally by this method because it always looks like they're so perfectly alive. (Not any time soon mind you, I still have many many years left in my snakes!)
