Makes perfect sense I think - the little octopus guy saw a swimmer, looking all hot and sexy and wanted to try it too.... though I wonder whose speedo he grabbed. *Imagining a guy swimming in the sea, then suddenly octo-boy swims past under him and pulls his swimwear off*

Or it might not have been a swimmer after all. *Imagining a lonely beach with two guys being... busy, and octolad comes along and makes off with a speedo in the meantime

Depends on how shy the dear octolad is - he might just have stealthily crawled on the sand and snatched up the first undie he could get before fleeing into the water again.
