A really simple ambient piece I made. I'd like to keep making these to get more familiar with this whole EDM thing since it's completely new territory for me.
I got a new laptop and bought FL Studio. It's lots of fun but kind of slow learning, hence the fact that I've been off FA for pretty much all of December, haha.

Sounds like Aurora borealis, and wolf wolfs.. maybe that wolf howl was overly long one thought but otherwise this was nearly mystical. Even beautiful in kind of way.
Not that I would like this kind of ambient sounds as general but I could imagine of sitting at the wild outdoors, watching fire dancing on fireplace, and listening eerie rattling like howls of Auroras and maybe even distance wolf howls... something like that. Would be cool thought.
(BTW, reason of delayed message is that I lost electrics from house.. and for some reason Google chrome had saved this message.)

Thanks a lot! :D The "wolf howl" thing was mostly just me playing around with pitch bending, which I guess with the reverb and delay effects sounds like a wolf howl. It's nice when things work out though. :)
I'm not too familiar with ambient artists yet, most of my influences are more from the post-rock direction like Hammock, This Will Destroy You, and Sigur Ros. Thanks for the names though I'll check them out!

Erm.. Those are not names. Just mentioning "Northern lights" with the word I found from dictionary. o.o at the time of need. Aurora borealis or something.
and eerie rattling is more like... a kind of sound that can be heard during aurora.. its not a name either, i tried to describe a kind of noise that auroras do at the sky. Sounds bit like very old tv looking blank gray. You know that erm.. hissing sound? like... rssrsrsrsrs something. Thats what I tried to describe. Yet it comes from emptyness - from sky. so that makes it "eerie" and there is a hint of rattle on it. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. Thus the fact right after posting. I lost electrics again, and went to sleep.
I do not know any of those artist you mentioned. Im not that much after music. But I wanted to support you and to give good critique.
Good luck with your future projects. :)

Oops. Yeah it's aurora borealis. Sorry I thought you were talking about some artist named that, haha. It sounds like it'd be a really good name for an ambient artist.
I didn't know they made sounds, that sounds really cool. I live in Florida so that tells you how much experience I have with northern lights. It's like 80 degrees down here today. :P
And thanks for the critique. :)
