In the 90's, the 2090's, almost 50 years after these fuzzy (& borderline sex addicted X3) intellectual beings were successfully created, and after the humans kept declining into stupidity, poisoning themselves with toxic food, and blew themselves away with worldwide profitable "blindly patriotic" wars, just mostly these survived to go on living life..

Some later pic will show who it is, the said friends activities will then make more sense ;)
(Though his friends would prefer more to see pics of the big pair in his pants)... err bad pun.. XD

Yes, I made the background in 3DSMAX (extended demo version X3), I could have detailed it more, but it was just for practice and so not to forget how to.
Modified basic shapes, like extrude, taper, copy, etc.
The trees were built in though, I however modified them to look more realistic and a generic city photo was used for the skyline that's barely visible(and blurry).
Texture mapping in it is a pain in the ass though. Then took an eternity to render with full lighting effects, a whole night. x_x
Heh, "Easter eggs", though one is covered up by a traffic pole. Its a directions sign that says turn left to get to the hospital, even though its obviously straight ahead. XD

Wow, that looks really cool actually, especially for what you were trying to do for it.. It's way improved over the first previews you had, and the art itself looks really cool on it :3 A bit of a difference in styles, sure, but you did a good job setting the lighting on the characters and everything else, so I really like it
Also, I think he looks just as cute and cool with the clothes -on- XD I like that costume design a lot :3

(Hehe, next time ya go to make traffic signals, come to me, I know a shit-ton about them and can help ya model them more realistically, since I know all the designs of modern signal companies ^^; )

Heh, the background characters were actually in the 3D field, basically like life sized panels, so they show in reflections and cast shadows.
And yea, the rabbit is up on the parking lot barrier, to keep out of reach from all the hungry predators..Kidding X3 , he's just goofing off.

After a lot of hard work, time, and effort, it has really turned out well. ^ ^

That post apocalyptic joke was just a cliche reference about something that could happen, since popular idiots with power frequently get tons of innocent people killed.
Although it seems people do prefer the random crap I quickly make up over the stuff I put a lot of effort in.. >_>

I really like the 3d background of this picture, though. Maybe you can do something like that for some more pictures, just more rough, to get the shadows? Or is it too hard to cut the shadow out of there?

it's also interesting to see the foxes walking around x3 (and a bunny atacking a car! XD)

I plan to better finish this one when or if I have the time someday.
There's a lot of detail I didn't have time to do, more extrusion textures, more lighting objects, sleeker traffic objects, custom complex plants, more background buildings rather than the photo, etc.

Danm, really, I love it! I really like your style, it's detailed, but still you have controll over it.
Nice clothing and coloring and shading/lighting! Those things are what I'm really bad at, and yeah, I really like it!
The pose is superb as well.
And another great thing is how you managed to add the charaters into a 3D pic without making it look odd! That's not easy!
