Haha lawl, much spelling error. Such comic, wow~
Any way, over the last 7 years I've been working non stop studying every book and technique, to do with creating graphic novels, i could get my hands on. A couple weeks ago i managed to go from nothing to finishing the dialogue on a 66 page comic in two days. Today i went from nothing to finishing these two comic pages. With this kind of turn over i think i could actually keep up a professional turnover! It may not sound like much, but its been a big journey for me and im really excited to share the results with you guys. >w<

Hahah Its welcome. during the creative process i have to turn that side of me off, or nothing happens!
But once ive finished a first draft, there are so many mistakes that i kind of drown in them ><
I can only edit for a while before im blind to what im looking at >x< Do you get that problem?

no, I don't. I have lived a life of fully embracing all of my emotions, including negative ones such as fear. it's just a tool, to me. but that said, I can ften be crippled during the editting process, merely fretting abut how awful I did at my work, but being unable to determine how it should be changed to fix it. so, I have a different problem.
The best thing i ever read about writing was 'write something, take out the bad bits. done.' And i was like, THAT'S SO SIMPLE!!!! OXO!!!!
but now i feel like i write something... then i put on my commando gear to go to war with bad spelling, and pacing errors.
My thing is just that the errors usually outnumber my patience >W<! That's why i want to share everything here.

I did most of my training in comic construction (mostly learning techniques and making style decisions).
But when its just me the story and the dialogue, i kinda freeze up. I get so far and then get buried in errors. (or perceived errors any way.)
Since the goal is to write a story that people enjoy and understand, the only qualifier that really matters is what my readers get from my stories.
Thats not to say that their opinions matter mor than mine, but that if they missed my point, than i feel ive failed.
so yeah, i can second guess you guys till the cows come home (And ive driven myself mad trying to do so)
but it just seems more efficient to show people what im writing and see if it translates from my head to yours.

Exploring a concept is the most fun part of writing. I think that anything that gets those creative juices flowing is worth going over!
That said, i spent an awful lot of time working out the world of galleon with corillion years back. But thats mostly because it was gonna be an RPG. >x<

http://mangareader.net/ has a random anime function that i have come to love! If you need a recommended list im always happy to give one out!
in terms of just good writing,
Old boy
Sakurambo
Parasite
King of Thorns
Pluto
Gunsmith Cats
Mermaid Saga
Souless the manga
im sure i can think of more but thats enough to start with. thats really just talking writing and construction.
i can think of better comics settings and characterization, and those aren't my favorite comics of all time.
but they are all a good read for sure!

You really done a great job as it seemse.
I have a story for a couple of books of mine in head for about 3 years and still couldn't write a bit for it. As much as I am able to RP and do short stories for fun, but can't just simply BEGIN one damn long-term story! T.T
And I'm glad to see such a wonderful progress of yours here, specially when mine is still stuck in the mud. ^^;

well maybe, if i prove to my self, i can share all of the things that ive been studying over the years.
I know what it feels like to have all your ideas stuck in your head, but ive managed to get over that bit >w<
Now its about actually asking those ideas to stand up in the light of reality. ^^;

Well, I break comics creation into four steps - Concept design, First draft, Development draft, post prodution
Fixing problems like spelling, grammar, logic, syntax and other aesthetic issues is WAY easier during the first draft.
I find it hard to see all the problems when im knee deep in a project, so i look to other people to help me.
Im looking to make sure my stories are clear, interesting, and well constructed. ^^; but i know i cant do that alone.

OH CHRIST, IT'S THE ATTACK OF THE DREADED BOOBASAURUS REX! D8 *is slowly deprived of oxygen as Baby Nai eyes me with hostility since Im technically intruding on his territory*
Man, never knew I'd learn so much Nai canon in one day. My head hurts... though that's probably from the lack of air... @.@

I actually run a webcomic, so it's really exciting to see what you have in store for us! ;v; I took about a year developing my story before I launched it about 8 months ago, and I've gotten farther in it than I thought I would have!
;v; concepts are a huge thing for me, so it's be nice to look at stuff you're developing!! It's exciting aaahhh

Concept design is the best funnest part ever!! i cant find a link to your comic but i would love to read it!
>w< I started a web-comic called morholt about two years back, but my story got tangled and i got pregnant and it kinda fell to ribbons.
Its gonna be a bit of an ordeal finishing it cause ive left people waiting a longtime and im worried they will expect that story ark to be longer than i planed it to be.
I was happy to put everything down for a moment and reassess, but I've got my work cut out for me >x< the story needs a lot of work.

http://ssp-comics.com/comics/Guardia/?page=1 ;v; here's a link to the title page! I'm gonna be reworking the first nine pages here since they do need a bit of touching up, but other than that, enjoy the read!
CONCEPT DESIGN is so fun oh my gosh, I get wrapped into it so much, I will literally fawn over any and all development related things, oh lordy @v@!
;v; ah yeah, good thing is you can take your own pace with it and work out what you feel needs to be done. I'm sure your previous readers will totally understand! As the sotryteller, you're the one who moved the story along at the speed you see fit. ;v; You should make sure you take as much time as you need on it so it doesn't feel like your rushing either ;v;.

*bookmarks your comic* That looks so cute! Im looking forward to reading it >w<!
and Ugh... there was so much rewriting with the galleon comic. I had to keep reworking old pages just to make sense @x@
That's why ive been so concerned about getting people to help me edit my first drafts. TxT
As far as morholt, there is going to be another ark, but its a whole new story.
Im working on the second story ark now actually >w<

;v; thats what I'm gonna have to do with the new Guardia pages. I wanted to fox their overall look and correct the speech and dialogue a little more!
And gosh yes, ;v; but at least it'll all be worth it in the end when you have everything finalized and you're ready to start working on it! I've archived at lease a few chapters for my story so I'm ready to go on once I end this introduction ;v;!
I'm exited about getting on with the actual story for mine, OTL Just need to finish up this last part and then I'm home free.

Comics are a big deal I guess, thats why ;v;. Most of the time you worry about how you want to present it to the audience, and how you want to try to gain their interest in your story. ;v; I've tried not worrying to much about that and just took my time and went at my own pace to plan everything out. When I finally launched, I was most excited about getting it started than I was worrying about if it was nice for a start. Hence why I wanna touch up the lfirst nine pages because I feel they can be better -v-~
I've done a lot of storyboarding, world building, character concepts and much more for about a year before I felt I was ready to launch the story to the public ;v;, and to think my little comic came from a small ask blog I used to host on tumblr too!!
And even still with all the preparations I've made, it's still nerve wracking cuz gjfdkls it's a comic, my little storytelling baby ;v;!
So you're totally not alone! ;v; I'd totally be willing to help you out with your stuff to get you along! I've been making comics for a long time now, and I've given some tips and stuff to my friends too. ;v; I'll offer any aid you want if you'd like! Your art is amazing and I think you have really nice visual works! So your comic is gonna be totally amazing when you get it started~

My style tends to change a bit with whatever anime or manga im watching. Ive never been able to get it to stay still >W<
That said, ive done a lot of study and have been using a new technique to do my shading! Also, ive only recently started to do my drawing purely digital ^^'
Maybe one of those things?

Do you know what this website IS????? It's pretty much a true-dump of art, comics, masterpieces, sales and jobs; all for critiquing and minor fame, few of which ever become superstars. Don't ever be afraid to show us what you can do, and if we can help it, we usually try to give good advice, or even just plain admire and compliment. Rarely do people hunt things down on this website that they dislike; we just ignore it like the realists we are. I've been following you for a while now, so I admire and enjoy your works thoroughly.
Hahah! Eloquently put! I will do my best not to be too shy about my writing, though its still a bit amateur ^^;
Furaffinity has been nothing but good to me, and i get a bit nervous about that. (What if ya'll turn on me OxO~~~~)
But its not founded. So tomorrow i will scan everything in and start setting things up to show everyone.
I can. I will! I MUST! *puts on bandana*

I'm glad to see you're having the time and energy to make comics again, and I'll add my eyes to the general eyeball-pile, should you need a couple more. *squelch* Particularly keen to see how the 2-day, 66-page one came out - heck, if you can manage [66] pages and [1] babby in that timeframe, it may just shame me into getting a few more scripts of my own done. >.>
Are the drafts in plain (typed) text-form, or scans of words on paper? Or a mixture of both?

Its just done direct to digital but there is NO art, so its a lot faster, and its up on my tumblr.

Im just using tumblr until someone bitches about the upload format ^^;
also Celias comic is fantastic. i haven't talked to you in ages so i haven't had the chance to say so,
but i have kept up with it and its a stunning work of visual metaphor.

Right, I finally had a chance to read through all of them - now I juuuust need to track down the login details of the Tumblr-account-I-made-and-then-immediately-forgot so I can give some actual feedback. >.>; Failing that, would FA notes be alright?
And I'm glad you've still been enjoying Celia! I'll hopefully have a chance to make her some new pages soon; for the last while I've been doing that "aaauuugh totally rework most of the overarching story while I still can because I'm still in early chapters" thing comickers seem to do, which has held things up a bit. >:P Still, hopefully the end result will be narratively stronger for it, and it certainly taught me the value of reader feedback - I had a lovely moment where someone was telling me their overall impressions and guesses of where the plot was going to go, and a large chunk of it was considerably cooler (and worked way better) than what I had in mind. I was like "...YESSssss. Yes, that is EXACTLY what will happen." *frantic note-taking* "GOOD... GUESS."

Hm... So, you'll be taking stories from what I imagine is an extensive notebook library, type them up into a document file you share with your editing team on, for example, google drive. Your team of psuedo editor/stalkers then read it, leave notes/comments, and then you go from there? So, are you looking to build a contact list for editors willing to commit or is this just open call, comment per story sort of thing?
OH! I know, it's a bit off topic, but I came across Scrivener. It's basically a programs designed specifically to aid someone in writing a play, or script.

people keep recommending that program to me. Have you tried it? is it any good?
The best time to edit is durring the draft, so i want to show my story to people to make sure my point translates between me and them.

This is one of my first draft pieces about writing comics. I would love to know what you think?

Ok. I see. I linked them in posted order in, this first one, this second one, this third, and the fourth.
So, is there any particular way you'd want us to offer feedback?
And as for scrivener, I'm still learning it myself. There's always some learning to make for any program you're new to, but I don't mind. I've read good things and can see this helping me. I don't know if you're also contemplating doing things like writing stories other artists would render, that sort of thing.

im not really sure yet.... ive mostly kept all my experiments into writing to myself, so im not really sure how to take feedback yet.
My biggest questions with any piece are 'did you find it clear and compelling?'
But im a take it as it comes kinda person so ... um... just give me your first impression!

So far, it looks fine. The idea you're aiming to communicate is clear, your pacing is good, and you've obviously got what you want the pages to have planned out. Very solid use of descriptions in the text, which is pretty much the bulk content of a script, but I couldn't offer any more productive feedback unless you had storyboards to show.
I know this might be beating a horse to death, but if you had folks editing a script you'd also have notes not just detailing the dialogue, but also describing the scene your planning with and the pages and panels it's all happening in. That bit of visualization on your end, helps the editor imagine what you will be drawing later. For example, maybe you're main character is dressed as a cat ear Kunoichi diligently focused on their work at a drafting table, or they're working focused under a single overhead light. The opening break in the fourth wall is clearly prompted by being surprised by us, the readers and you can have them go about their introduction as they're now in a fully lit room, or removing their ninja mask to reveal, "Hey guys, Nani here," and so on. The script doesn't need to be complex or overly detailed, just have enough info to help a reader visualize the scene you have planned.
