I started this inspired by my recent movie experience of seeing Interstellar. I loved the movie so much, and also the music in it by Hanz Zimmer. Two Steps from Hell also had a song that was put with the 3rd trailer released for the film (and those of you who know me well know I LOVE TSFH). I wanted to try another painted style drawing (no lined art) and this is what I came up with. Everything was done by me including all background objects. I had a lot of fun doing details for everything such as the stars, galaxies, and even the boots.
The clothing was inspired by 1600's-1800's military-navy uniforms. I have in my head a story pertaining to this theme for a comic, which would be after I get around to doing the western one.
