Have you read Cities of the Red Night? that's my favorite book of his.

Oh, I've got a whole pile o' his books, and CDs. And I used to have the same Burroughs shirt that the kid vampire in Near Dark wore, but it has vanished into the mists of time. :( Well, not the same shirt, obviously, but the same design.

The reference is to a character from many William S Burroughs' books called Dr. Benway, who's sort of the embodiment of all drug-addicted psychotic doctors. :D

I have read the (or one of) book that includes that specific line. Benway is quite an interesting sort.

You win, too, tho. It's not often that I encounter someone who is familiar with Burroughs's work. I'm frequently intrigued by the concepts he throws in, new addictions, new drugs...beings with animal parts, and at least one instance of gay werewolf sex. I'll probably sound like a "ZOMG FURRY!" ass for saying it, but I think he would have been open to, if not embraced the furry community if he had been around long enough.
