Here's an alien creature I had made up a while ago and redesigned. I drew Whirlwind there to show how big they are.

That thing on the wolf's back is a helicopter's rotors. So yes, these guys can fly. They are also hard to kill, bullets won't go through their armor, missiles can hurt and kill them but they are fast (on the ground that is). They can evade heat seekers by launching flares from their backs.

I won't go into details about the species just yet.
