Absolutely adore the slightly demonic influence on the kitten and how the vibrant ember eyes work in contrast to the otherwise arctic/ashen appearance. Subtle markings and variations in tone definitely make it for a rather intriguing design. :3

True, he does have that stern appearance. Generally calm and collected so you generally never know what he's actually thinking behind those captivating eyes, which are a total distraction from his body language. I'd say his most intimidating trait; But at the same time the most captivating one.

If you do plan to feature him more, I would suggest considering putting the main emphasis on his eyes and/or expression. Especially considering the viewer's eyes are already drawn to it due to contrast differences. If you want said piece to contain more emotion as a personal matter like vent art or something personal to the character.
