Well, we weren't busted, but we did have a "close encounter" with some Memphis Cops while fursuiting on Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee. They were very friendly and the one in the picture asked us to take a picture with him. He said his son would flip out when he sees the picture. First of all, Draconis organized the outing and took the photo. Thank you, Draconis. Fursuiters in the picture left to right... Quasi Skunk, myself (Cutter Cat), Cameron, Mav Wolf, and kneeling is KJ Nightwolf (aka Leone). To the far right in the sunglasses is another fur, Rubix. Not in the photo is DJ Charlie, who was the furry wrangler who kept all the fursuiters herded together during our outing. This was the finale event for the
fangcon party held at my shop last night. More pics of this fun weekend will be up soon.

For the cop part, see the response I give Holly below.
Yes, it would be inappropriate to try to just walk into Graceland in fursuit. They are VERY picky about that kind of stuff. I print LOTS of Elvis books, so I know most of the Elvis people. They are very wary of anything that might be construed as disrespectful to the memory of Elvis. They won't let Elvis impersonators into Graceland, and no one is allowed to enter wearing an Elvis style jump suit. I am, however talking with some friends that know the folks that run Graceland and am trying to get permission.

We saw the cops down the street from us, and they watched us for a while. We crossed the street to kind of avoid them. We took some photos by the giant Christmas tree, (photos will be uploaded soon), and after a few minutes they crossed and came up to us. I was a little afraid they were going to ask us to leave, but they were very friendly. One cop almost crashed everyone when he tripped getting off of his bike and fell across his buddy's bike and got all tangled up with the two bikes and the third cop had to kind of catch him. Draconis was taking pictures, and the cops were taking pictures as well. After the cops took pics of us, I insisted that we get a photo with one of them, at least. He complied, andI told them what a great bunch of guys they were and we all exchanged paw bumps. with them as we continued down the street.
Go tell
calamitycougar that you enjoyed his picture. It would make him feel good if you said so.

That's one cool cop you've got there for many reasons! First, he's getting taken in picture with you and he seems to appreciate it, then he's on a bicycle and finally, he's black! The last time I've had to deal with police officers except for the one in Caribou, they were taking me for some kind of anarchist!
