It wasn't long after adopting this American Eskimo, that I realized she was deaf. I don't believe her previous owner knew. Kalli saw me through the darkest period of my life and I will never forget her. Because of her, I've since adopted another deaf dog, Callie C, the white boxer pictured here:

Awwwww i have an eskie myself he is 13 and we are sure he is blind and mostly deaf but he's still a good boy.

Kalli was deaf all her life and toward the end, developed cataracts. Having a deaf AND blind dog was a challenge, but I wouldn't have traded our time together for anything.

Yeah he has bad cataracts and we don't think he will make it through the winter he is blind but seems he can hear sometimes
