A few fox bandits will begin to excel above their peers, either by branching out and learning magic, taking on physical combat training, or simply by having a bigger appetite, or all of the above! Those who are determined enough become leaders, protectors, and/or late-game enemies.

Their staves not only serve as a conduit for their magical skills, but can also function as a melee weapon and an aid for traversal: for example, as a pole-vault to clear high walls. Like their smaller comrades, they're more agile than they might appear.
