Stumbled upon this interesting old brick plant in Sugar Creek, Ohio. The town is simply overrun with brick plants for this company! This is probably the oldest, and still uses beehive ovens. Some plants appear to be very modern. I suspect this one is only used for oddball bricks made in small quantity.
The smoke suggests coal is still used in some stage of the process...?
This part of Ohio is very scenic rolling Amish country. Wish I could have gotten some horse scenery pics, but it was a very quick trip.
