The horse took one more step forward, the four armed creature now had his back firmly pressed against the shrine. Without warning, the horse smashed his hoof on the monster's foot. The monster roared with pain. The shrine must have been built pretty strong, for the monster's entire body weight pushed against it in an attempt to flee, yet it didn't fall over for the screaming creature. The horse's head reached in and grabbed Peter by the foot. The monster tried to close his mouth, not willing to give up his prey; but as soon as he did, the horse applied more pressure on his foot. The monster screamed again, and the horse started pulling Peter out of the monster's maw.
Peter was incredibly disoriented. The monster's screams caused him to go deaf; all he could hear was the ringing in his ears. He noticed some pressure on his foot, but he didn't think anything of it. He laid his head against the tongue of the creature, trying to regain his focus. Wait, where is the pressure on his head? Why was he on the tongue again? Why was it getting brighter?
The horse slowly applied more pressure to the monster's foot. Realizing that another painful step was coming, the monster stopped resisting and opened his mouth. The horse had no more problems pulling Peter out. To the horse's relief, Peter was still in one piece. Covered in drool and coughing, but still in one piece.
