It's a scary thing to deal with. But the proper way to deal with it, from what I've experienced, is to close your eyes, and very very very slowly move your body to help "awaken" it
DO NOT open your eyes or the hallucinations will intensify.
Once you're able to move your arms and legs, try to sit yourself up and count to three, and then open your eyes.
