fantastic i am so impressed by the grey tones and black! very nice composition and use of graphite! and i love the disegn too of course!

Outstanding.

Reminiscent of a panel from a lesser-known French or Spanish comic series, somehow, with its toony style of alternate world ethnology. Nice touch having the detritus on the ground appear to radiate from the central focus of the image.

(Sort of refreshing seeing actual pencil shading, too, in the Age of Potatoshop! Or maybe it's just a painstaking simulation ^_^)

The energy shown by the fluid lines of the sketch, and the poses of the characters... I can honestly see nothing wrong with the drawing. :>

A gorgeous and expressive piece. The only critique I can think of is that you need to work on using line weights to show depth as well as weight and shadow - it is rather confusing in this image, especially at first, how close each element is to the viewer, and it is difficult to discern where one object or character ends and another begins.

Looking at it again, I see also that the front character is a little off-balance - he looks like he is in the middle of falling over backwards, almost. I think his far leg needs to be planted closer to his center of gravity to fix that.

There's seriously no words for this. Beautiful, that's really all I can say. <3

This actually looks really complete and ready to bring to a finish. I love how much stylistic detail you put into everything in the piece. I think you could make a more interesting shape for the flame and even make the piece more vertical. I think it would be great to see more of the sky because everything (although laid out very nicely in the composition doesn't leave us a place to escape to visually. The left of the image seems to dominate the right too..I think once you change the flame a little it could balance out the composition a bit. Other then that I really love the energy in this. Lovely work really. I look forward to seeing you bring this to a finish 8)

Thanks for the advice, I have added a few inches to the image and it worked, it really let the image be a lot looser and less constrained.

All the details you provided here, it's just stunning. The expression on Lupine's face is fantastic, and the design in the scenery here is just wonderful. The shading is amazing as well, as you really get a good sense of where the light is coming from in the image, which adds to the atmosphere that is provided. There's far too much polish in this for it to even be considered a scrap or a sketch, and I am just stunned. I think this is a good display for just how well you've gotten in terms of art, how much detail and emotion you really can display, and I also think of Steve Purcell with this one, not that it looks like you're directly copying his work, but just how much attention to detail you really got here, how much you were able to do with a single drawing.

In short, this is pretty rad Ayato!

Oh, i'm kinda bad at critiques. possibly the imagery gets to be a bit packed-in on & around Scott, tangency-wise.

The one thing that strikes my eyes here is the big white space in the middle of the top, with the fire. Your lines are great, but I feel like that area kinda lacks the weight of the rest of the piece, and makes things seem a little unbalanced. Maybe if you added a bit of dark shading into the fire, it would help to anchor that in and break up all that white <3

Done and done, I've put a few finishing touches on the image, including extending it a few inches taller than where it ends here.

Sweet! Yeah, I think composition-wise, it'll be nice to have the figures rocking out in closer to the bottom third, rather than the bottom half. Better for balance and scale <3

This is full of movement and depth. The way you have those speckles angled out from the moon gives it depth. I like the black behind the trees. The perspective in this is something I need to learn how to do.

Scott is legitimately horrifying with that skull on his head.

And Lupine is making all sorts of things happen in my loins. His mouth is hilarious, and awesome. :O

The picture as a whole is just amazing. The shading and value is so clean and dramatic. D: it's just awesome. I love you. I mean this. ;Oc

I like to believe that the skull amplifies Scott's already somewhat frightening features.
I didn't think Lupine was cut out to be much of a loin-happener, though I'm certain he'd be flattered!
