One of my works i'm more proud of from 2010.
Inspired from an evening where I felt and visualized a lifetime where I felt myself as a draconic beast of sorts.
There is a serene forest where he stood all alone. There were no souls except for that of the trees, maybe even a deer or two, maybe some balls of light quietly navigating through the forest quietly. It is night time, stars are plentiful above but perhaps in unfamiliar constellations not known to man; there are ships made of light abound here and there. There is also a dragon creature, anthropomorphic, sitting alone and playing his flute, reflecting on the pain he feels as he yearns to hold someone in his arms.
but that is merely a draconic memory of another time and another place.
ALSO....for those wondering about the symbol I used as the thumbnail, i'll give you the wiki version:
''The Dragon's Eye is an ancient Germanic symbol as collected by Rudolf Koch. The Dragon's Eye is an isosceles triangle pointing downward with a "Y" in the middle connecting the three points of the triangle together. According to Carl G. Liungman's Dictionary of Symbols, it combines the triangle meaning threat and the "Y" meaning a choice between good and evil.
The dragon's eye is a well known symbol of protection, said to protect anyone who recited an incantation to it.''

honestly its been so long I cannot even remember, it was a few different programs i used on a computer. It may have been garageband but i havent used that and related junk forever.
These days I usually work with Cubase 5 (best version IMO), Absynth, along with Audacity for some final editing on occasion.
Also I've always wanted to utilize Kontakt but had been unable to do so previously but with newer works Kontakt will be used as well for further editing and instrumentation. :)
Hope that helps :D

nothing wrong with using samples , loops, etc. Its about how you edit and utilize them that counts they've just never been something i'm good with personally, I do hope I can utilize them in some form soon. I'll be creating something akin to 'meditations' soon.
With what I want to create, these soundscapes, I'll be working on things that go from 15 minutes to over a half hour in duration. I want to begin creating soundscapes that consistently warp and change every so often while containing a generalized 'feel' to them or aura.
Its one of many reasons I'm going to begin utilizing other music software into my work soon, I think making music is much like writing or drawing, you can only work with some mediums so long before you have to add a new one to the picture and re-create the previous ones alltogether to get the right 'sound' you FEEL. :) Its not going to be what i'm use to but i'm confident it will work nicely.
I hope the best for you on your own work as well and hope to hear more of it, i've really liked what i've heard of yours so far by the way so keep at it! :)
