So after years of hijinks with The Class Menagerie, it's probably no surprise that I've latched on very heavily to the TV series Community (please tell me there's fans of it here!) It's actually a lot how I wish TCM had turned out regarding wacky college situations, though ironically the key setting (the dorm) is seldom featured on the show!

At any rate, as I've tried learning to draw humans, the one thing I've never been able to manage is drawing actual RL people, at least not in my own style. So I thought I'd finally buckle down and give it a solid shot, after a lot of fits and starts. Community seemed like a good place to start, and it isn't just because Joel McHale is hot (....but that WAS part of it...)

Feeling a bit mixed on the results, but it came out overall better than I thought. My goal was to try and be as cartoony as possible, and I have no idea how to accomplish that and still be recognizeable (I've no interest in caricature, though I suppose it's related). Alison Brie and Jim Rash are the closest to what I was aiming for.
I started by tracing the photo refs until I knew which features I wanted, then after a few practice overlays, I tried to redraw them below.

PS: Dangit, Season 6 not expected til March? ARRRGGGHHHH!
