In the Deleasean Plateau is a variety of folk hero known as 'the Fealtless', succubi who are aligned with none of the seven houses, who "Give fealty to none, and so their colour is their own".
The deeds that Fealtless perform extends to anything that is worthy of telling; the slaying of monsters, the exploration of lands outside the plateau, and quests to perform virtuous exploits.
Quess Aislin was a particularly notable Fealtless, who armed herself with a blade forged from Vorpal steel; metal mined and crafted only by the smiths of Vorpisar, the Deleasean spire's fifth moon. Her blade made her an infamous outlaw on immediate principle, as Vorpal Swords are one of the few weapons said to be capable of doing harm to the deific Matriarchs of the houses, and merely carrying one inspired fear of her in the queens of Deleasean.
