Wherein certain things are settled, and certain things left open, not all of which are to the complete satisfaction of Corporal Westersloe Winterbough V, magick-user in the service of the High King of Faerie.
Stay tuned soon for a new adventure of this doughty buck. In the meantime, we'll try to finish up that story featuring Sergei Ivanovich, that other canny roebuck, in "Sirens," here on FurAffinity.

So... just where WAS the Wolf Queen during that last dustup? I'm wondering if she wasn't at least part of the reason that there were suddenly no Vulpitanian guards to muddy the issue when William confronted his sire.
Loose ends aside, another excellent story! Keep up the good work!

Ah, yes, the Sultanate of Bula-Y'ale, known for their rousing war chant "Bula-Bula! Bula-Bula!" I also hear they can be real bulldogs in a fight.

at nightfall
Be good vulpines while you may!

Of Vul-pit-an-i-a!
Drink a highball, and be jolly
Here's a toast to dear old V!

By the time of the "Ballad," assuming the Grand Duke William X was still on the throne, he'd probably be in the early bloom of Elfhood. What effect Estvan would have on him would be an interesting item for speculation, since William is a bright vulpine, clearly magickal, and with a definite sense. Estvan might well view it as a good opportunity.
