It has been with great distress and sadness that I have watched the news reporting on the horrific act of terrorism and cruelty enacted in Paris, France. I'm so sorry for the families and friends of the people who were killed. I'm not going beat around the bush, this was a horrible tragedy.

I'm not sure I got the wording right (I do not speak French and my dad hasn't been fluent in a long time, so we aren't certain) but please, understand what I am trying to say. I don't care that this was on foreign soil...NO PEOPLE deserve to die at the hands of terrorists for speaking freely. I hold freedom of speech to be a right, not just for we Americans but for everyone. France has been one of our closest allies, through thick and thin.

We stand together with the people of France. I offer my most sincere condolences to all the people of France.
