That is an interesting question with a simple answer. I personally create our donkey's with buck teeth simply because that's the style I draw them in. I think it's adorable and adds character to the design. In general toony characters don't really need to make sense. Another great example the Loony Tunes, rabbits don't have long legs yet they created bugs bunny with long legs. It's just the way the creator wants to portray the character. I hope that makes sense
