It's a sweet thought, but no. Besides, it was Harold Ramis that died, not Egon himself. There was actually an episode where it states that the movie is based on the Real Ghostbusters universe, and that "Murray, Akroyd, and Ramis" ("Sounds like a law firm!") play Peter, Ray and Egon. Peter at the end complains that Bill Murray looks nothing like him. :)

So Egon is very alive and well, but I'm gonna guess he's probably once again failed to realize just how smitten Janine here is over him, and that's got her down.

Peter's full of himself, all over the place, and sasses everyone around him. But at the same time, he knows he's lucky to have 3 big brothers and an older sister to look out for him, and he loves them very much.

My favourite critter is probably those subways that turned into big screaming worm things. I also liked the evil homicidal ghost-clone of Peter. I would have loved to have that as a pet. I think the real Peter wouldn't be too thrilled with that idea though. :)
