Spur of the moment poem, written from a random concept suggested by my good friend and co-author, Jinn.
***
Blue-green pales to black and blacker
Crushing out the failing light
Weightless, yet the world arises
Sun nor moon could ever reach
And they all came tumbling after
Dark as envied by the night
Victims of abject demises
Briny swells too broad to breach
Silence now, the din retreating
Turning colder as it fades
Frantic corpses treading blindly
Seeking to deny their sleep
Mourned by none, no clergy reading
Nameless merit no parades
Search in vain, but never find me
For the water is too deep
