They covered all of the different religions in various covers, showing that their parody and comedy didn't know any particular religion/race/creed/etc... Usually covering headlines and things in recent events, because they had to sell their publication. So, because they didn't cover something terrible which happened a while ago, then what?

So... what is it that you are saying?

You won't mock any religion? Why not? What about cults? Are those on limits? Where does your freedom of expression reach your arbitrarily assigned 'not going to make fun of that' point?

Where is something acceptable and something else not? 'People find holy'? Doesn't that mean you can never mock anything? What about stupid points and opinions? Are those ok? What if someone finds them to be very important? Where is the line?

What if it is just a parody, like in South Park, is that ok? What about when South Park had to censor the prophet muhammed away even after successfully including him in several episodes in the past?

As being similar to the union and joining of two individuals through marriage, becoming 'one' as in many ceremonies. Hence the ironic nature of Christians taking offense from gay marriage when their religion has three individuals as one, get it? The three of them are saying 'The Father. The Son. The holy spirit'.

So, yes, that is parody. It is also a culture different to yours, and mine. And yes, it is parody.

Nope, it was from some delusional Islamic extremist idiots. If 'God' wanted them dead, 'God' would have killed them easily. 'God' created everything remember? So, there are plenty of options. Gas leak, lightning, fire. Why use some extremists to kill off a bunch of folks who weren't involved as well? What about the four civilians who were killed after the extremists took hostages late, what about the two civilians and two police who were killed as part of that first major killing? I fail to see how showing holy trinity as homosexual trio helps Christians to overcome homophobia. Care to elaborate?

It is satire, it is poking fun at them for being extreme in their views and forcing their views onto others.

Here is the interesting thing.

You fail to see how what they drew is satire, as it offended Christians.

The view of Christians to force their belief and to force the inability for homosexuals to marry, is offensive to many others.

I guess then, we can't poke fun as Christians. But Christians have to shut up about their beliefs always, as it could offend someone.

If they are free to say that homosexuality is a sin, and that it is evil and corrupting, then others should be free to make lighthearted satire regarding them.

- Nobody was upset when on 9th of May on Victory parade nazi thugs shot several people in Mariople. Nobody was like "Je suis Mariople" (Don't tell me "Oh they shot themselves");
- Nobody was upset when on 4th of December three Chechen policemen were killed when militants captured Typography House. No "Je suis Grozny" (don't tell me "Oh they shot themselves!");

- Finally, nobody seems to be upset that there are almost FIVE THOUSANDS civilians killed in Donbass. Not even the president of the country that this region belongs to and that keeps on saying "we are united state". Unfortunately the answer to that is as simple as it is terrible.

The greater 'western' news, which is how movements like 'Je suis Charlie' end up starting, and being spread far enough to organically forming and be propagated.

And the greater 'western' news doesn't seem to cover those subjects, due to where they happened. There is so much that goes on in the world, which I have never heard about, because the information is difficult if not impossible to find. Yes. Those were terrible events. Yes people should be upset and/or angry regarding them.

But so many people never even heard about them at all. Which is why you say 'nobody was upset', because 'nobody' knew of the events.

Due to the back and forth, the history, and the cold war, there is still this bizarre dislike of Russia and even the various countries which were a part of the USSR.

Because it was a major event, in a 'safe' country, which has major ties to all of these other western countries. That it was a senseless killing, in a country which was perceived as 'safe'.

When people die in other countries which are perceived as 'unsafe' people care a lot less about the killing. Unfortunately most of the countries which were a part of the USSR are still perceived as 'unsafe' and so the killings which happen there 'mean less'.

But, because this happened in France. In a major city of France. In fact THE city of France.

Because they were defenseless.

Because they were at work.

It hit home very effectively, and made the audience in the west relate to it, and feel unsafe in their own country.
