A loco in the background woulda been neat, though quite a drawing task as you thought and I think it would have been too busy looking. You actually did a fine job rendering the single head signal, especially since most artists do either organic or inorganic objects, not both. For example, the well known Taral Wayne also can do both organic and mechanical drawings with equal ability.
