A recipe and Review of Boba Fett & Custom Han Solo Carbonite
Here is my Boba Fett with Carbonite Han Solo--- if you're a avid Collector of Star Wars Figures and the Black Series 6 inch figures have turned your stomach, here is a remedy to solve the Action figure blues--- first of all if any of you have been collecting the Black Series 6 inch figures--- you notice that there was a SDCC (San Diego Comic Con) Exclusive and the Boba Fett came with a Han Solo Carbonite--- Sadly the Figures quickly sold out and i didn't get one--- months went by and i thought long and hard on getting this Black Series, i was planning on not getting these because of the whopping price for $20.00. well--- here's what i did.
On ebay, people all over were selling resin copies of the Han Solo Carbonite and some were way too much--- but there was one that was $25.00 for an unpainted one--- well i broke down and bought one--- plus a Boba Fett regular figure--- when the Carbonite figure came, i pulled out my Enamels and Flats and started painting. in Diagram 1, I start washing the Carbonite Block with Flat Black and was careful not to hit the frame--- it's best to use tape to cover the frame and then washed it down with Silver Enamel--- the black wash make the carbonite come alive and the results turn out really good.
in Diagram 2, here you have the Boba Fett out of his box but still in it's tray, you have the Resin Han Solo and the Card insert and the empty box---
In Diagram 3, you have the Resin Carbonite Han in the back of the tray of Boba Fett and you get what should of had all along--- even though the resin Carbonite Han Solo have some weight to it--- but it does look nice with Boba Fett.
