This is a piece I started working on and off in between commission work for awhile now. It is supposed to be a winter-solsticey type piece. Initially I thought it would be in the same vein as my "Prince of The Copse" piece, but fitting in baroque ornamentation for the sake of just squeezing it in was obviously not working out with it. Perhaps I can still be subtle and integrate it in the clouds. But adding folliage in what is essentially a winter landscape is no easy task! It felt out of place.

I will be testing out some new Daniel Smith paints I bought on this artwork :)

Thank you for looking, and still following my artwork despite my very few updates over the last year. I hope 2015 will be a good year for art! I am certainly going to make an effort to share more, even the things I do not like or am too shy to post.
