And yeah, I think I may be in one. After 5.5 years of making pictures, and about 792 of those being fully colored and shaded. That's a picture every 2.5 days! But yeah, lately I have just lacked so much motivation.
Drawing I beat myself up for not having interesting poses, and hate when I do the same pose over again too much.
Inking, I barely want to. Yesterdays image, though seeming simple, took me ALL DAY to finish. That was crazy. I just wasn't into it, but I felt I needed to do SOMETHING! And this came as a good test. My parents are out of the house, so that distraction was completely gone, but I just couldn't get motivated to ink the picture...
So yeah, I'm still gonna be trying to post stuff, but man, if a simple picture takes me all day, then how long will a complex picture of a robot or muscular character take me?!
Ughhh. Oh well. At least I know I am not alone in this, and some artists can take a LONG time to get out of this.
Also yeah, I also wanted to use this pic to demonstrate TRUE irony. Contradictions are not irony even though most people say that they are.

Artblock can be a period of rest, but it can also indicate that you need to try new things, wildly new even, as you've said, you've been doin this for +5 years, melancholy has to set in sometime
usually, when I get artblock, i start trying new methods of drawing or shading, after studying how others do things

when this happend, you should always try to take a walk, help me alot with that and try doing different thing that you don't usually do like playing a different genre of games that you don't usually think first !
and it might be because you use paint wich is basic for art but you could try some different program like GIMP and more, you could find something that could help you out !
