Hmmm, I wonder if that had some influence on the set for this comic? It really does pick up that sort of vibe - the ancient mystery and third-person story, the heavily stylized designs...
But it's also a style very much its own. Very much fitting for the world you're building! c:
Will this style persist throughout the comic? You mentioned the backstory - I can definitely see this being a prologue-only style, but at the same time, I'm sure I would enjoy seeing the whole series like this. Would... set it apart a little, hm?
But it feels like a memory. Like a telling of things gone past - I don't know if this tone is wholly appropriate for a whole comic when things are happening in the real-time. Unless the whole thing was told as a story from the perspective of an unseen speaker?
Time will tell. I'm just spitballin' over here. c:

Yes this is strictly the prologue's style XD but the stylized look exists throughout the comic in sculptures, wall painting and ruins found in the scenery. The comic looks like the cover with airbrushed shading and in full color. And it IS from someone's memory (I'm glad you picked up on that). The secondary title "A dragon's tale" is referring solely to the narrator of the prologue. He has some more narrative parts in the story since the entire comic is his tale.
