On their homeworld's low gravity and dense atmosphere, the Xidri can fly with those wings, but unfortunately, under standard life support conditions and the average 1G/1Bar and worse the best they can do is climb to a high point (which fortunately they're very good at doing) and glide. Like bats, they rely on echolocation primarily, as their vision is poor but not so bad they cannot operate a computer with some limited accessibility features (they are completely colorblind). They can hear in sonic and ultrasonic frequencies, but their vocal chords cannot produce any sound that a human can hear. In modern days, this is overcome by sign language in poor areas or a vocal modulator that allows them to communicate with humans by recreating their vocal sound in a much lower octave.
The Xidri haven't been so primitive as to dress like this in millennia, and have been a starfaring race for a while. But I wanted to show what they look like, not how they dress, so I took a look back at their ancient history to keep him decent, but still show off a good deal of their physiology.
Or maybe he's an actor in a live-action movie set in such times, who knows?
Either way, he's dressed in a loincloth and pointing at something, which conveniently also shows off their wing structure.
This is the retouched version, digitally inked. I think it turned out okay.
