What kind of Candy?

As I said elsewhere, I really think it's neat what a great job you did translating the look and feel of her character from 2D into 3D. Both versions are instantly recognisable as the same character.

Well I've found that most good character designs translate well to 3D. There's a few exceptions, usually with heavily-stylized characters where they may appear different from different angles to maintain certain design aspects to their appearance - Mickey Mouse's ears are a good example. If you play Epic Mickey, you can watch his ears slide around on his head like they're on rails as he winds up in different positions relative to the camera, all to keep them on model. To their credit, though, you don't notice it unless you're specifically looking at it.

Hah, that is interesting. :) And probably hard to unsee once you -have- noticed it... I can really see what you mean, how some style and design elements really depend on being shown a certain way in 2D... Candy at least seems to work well. ^^
