More lineless experimenting. aruphonse suggested a beefy Mario, and despite some initial worrying for no reason, I ended up enjoying drawing him a lot once I got going. So thank you, Al <3
Also, that was originally going to be a fire flower, but it didn't seem right. I assume that if you try to water one, it would just give off lots of steam? If that is the case, though, it'd probably be neat for a sauna room.

Hey, thanks! I've got some screenshots with different layers visible, if it's of any use: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kh0fmca1b.....oprog.jpg?dl=0 (I really should name them...)
I blocked in areas of colour using the sketch as a guide, then added more colours underneath. Separating different colours onto their own layers makes it easy to adjust them along the way. For example, with the hand which overlaps his shirt, I scribbled a large red area, then erased parts of it until I got the shape of the hand. Then layer the skin colour underneath.
This is probably better done with vector shapes, but I prefer to use brushes. It's easier to make quick changes, and add little details like his shirt creases.

Sir Mario really looks great here! You say you had fun drawing him, and I say, it shows. It really does!
I do believe you have come across something amazing with lineless art. That is definitely something that wokrs with your style.
I love the colours and shading, used here. Very soft, and relaxing; soothing in a way, and a perfect fit for watering flowers! And, once again, your hands have added size and given something great to look at. I love how at peace sir Mario looks!
Great work, sir!

A beefy Mario? What did you have to worry about?
We all know he had already been slightly beefed up for Ocarina of Time. XD

But his...this is good. X3
I'm really loving the stocky build you gave him.
